CMF Group

In 2020 ownership and management of CMF Group met with TSG to discuss the issues they were having with their promotional products. CMF Group was having difficulties managing their inventory which included storing the inventory, distributing apparel and promotional items in Canada and to the USA for staff and customers. Along with the distribution, CMF Group needed inventory management as there were no systems in place to keep track of where inventory was going and who was receiving it. 


CMF Group would often commit to various events which required their promotional products. When picking up the products to ship to the event, it would either be missing, or a rush order would need to be placed to fill the order. The cost of the rush order would increase their cost and exceed their expected budget for the event. Due to the missing product and rush orders, CMF Group found the additional cost would be thousands to tens of thousands of dollars each year.


With TSG’s help, an online store was created which tracks inventory upon purchases, collects employee information, and ensures accuracy when orders are placed and processed. The store/platform TSG created matches CMF’s branding and has accurate product information including pricing, current inventory, logo decoration, and garment colours. As inventory is reaching the reorder threshold, TSG recommends reorder amounts base on yearly sales and new products for the swag program. The store accepts gift cards which helped limit staff spending, if staff wish to order more than budgeted, they have the choice to order online with their credit card. The system also allows for discount codes to be used for management to place larger orders.


When events such as golf tournaments are expected, TSG can acquire inventory before the events to avoid shortages and reorder inventory to appropriate levels. If additional products are required, TSG is able to ship same or next day depending on the location of the event. 


With the new CMF store tracking customer locations, TSG was able to show which orders were going to Canada and USA and the amount spent for both countries. This assisted the accountants with their work by allowing them to accurately invoice each country or branch accordingly.


CMF also uses TSG’s warehousing solutions which has saved them in labour, monthly bills for storage, additional shipping expenses & materials and peace of mind knowing inventory is secure and accounted for.


Since working with TSG, CMF has increased their promotional product and apparel selection by over 20 products and saved tens of thousands of dollars. Along with the success of the store, CMF has also requested TSG’s assistance with creating sponsorships by designing and providing products to sports teams they like to associate with.
